How to Choose Your Platform Mix

By Alex Martinez on 5/24/2026, 5:34:52 AM

The average creator spreads themselves across 5+ platforms. TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, Twitter, Substack, Patreon, Ko-fi...

The result? Burnout, fragmented audiences, and revenue scattered across platforms that don't talk to each other.

Here's a better approach: choose 1-2 owned channels, 1-2 algorithmic channels, and 1 monetization platform. Focus your energy on owned channels. Use algorithmic channels for discovery. Keep monetization on your own turf.

Why W.A.G.E. Society Exists

By Sean Stotte on 5/22/2026, 5:34:52 AM

The creator economy promises freedom. In practice, most creators are trading one boss (corporate employer) for another (platform algorithms).

We built W.A.G.E. Society because we're tired of platforms that change the rules mid-game. Algorithms that demote you without notice. Revenue splits that shift quarterly. Terms of service that don't protect creators.

W.A.G.E. stands for "We All Gonna Eat" — a reminder that the creator economy is big enough for everyone. You don't have to fight for scraps when there's a full table.

This platform is infrastructure for creators who want to own their audience, sell what they make, and get their fair share.
